Affordable home ownership service for the people consists of several schemes that is:

a)  Perumahan Penjawat Awam Malaysia (PPAM)

PPAM is an affordable housing scheme for civil servants. This program was launched in early 2013 following the Cabinet Ministers’ decision on 30 January 2013 and 27 March 2013 which agreed to study initiatives to enable civil servants especially the low and medium income earners to purchase homes especially in major towns.

b)  PR1MA 

PR1MA Corporation is set up under the PR1MA Act 2012 to plan, develop, build and offer high quality, modern lifestyle conceptualized homes to medium-income urban residents.

c)  My First Home Scheme

My First Home Scheme (MFHS) – My First Home Scheme is a first time home ownership initiative which was announced in the 2011 Budget by the Malaysian Government to assist first time house buyers with an estimated monthly household income of up to RM10,000 (subject to RM5,000 per applicant) to own their first home.

d)  Federal Territory Malaysia Home/ RUMAWIP

Federal Territory residences which was earlier known as RUMAWIP/FTMH is an affordable housing program which provides more comfortable, quality and affordable residences to Federal Territory residents.

e)  MyHome

This scheme is one of the government’s measures to encourage the private sector to build more affordable homes. This MyHome Scheme offers incentives up to RM30,000 per unit which benefits house buyers and private developers. In 2015, the government allocated RM300 million for the construction of 10,000 units of affordable homes throughout the country.

f)  My Selangor Home

The main policy of the Selangor State Housing is to realise the aim of ‘One Family, One Perfect Residence.’ This is to ensure that every person or family has a good, comfortable and safe place to live. The State Government has introduced a new housing concept that is “Affordable Homes” which provides better comfort in terms of size, design including its community.
